Today, we had J#2's swim lesson then I went to Wally World, er Wal-Mart to get a few things. When I pulled up it was getting dark and the temperature dropped by 20 degrees. I thought, Oh, No. Hopefully I can get my few things quickly then get back to the car before it starts raining.
That
Was
Not
To
Be......
While I'm finishing up I hear the sound of a torrential rain hitting the roof. So we check out and everyone is huddled by the door not wanting to get out in it. This people was not a rain this was a typhoon of a downpour. The kids are hungry and I am just ready to get home so I tell them to hang on we are going for it!! I couldn't see anything!! I was blinded by all the rain. J#3 is crying or should I say screaming and I can't go fast because I am waiting on my slow ducklings who need to go faster, but they can't see!! We finally get to the car and I get them all in and unload (throw) the groceries in. I get in the car and I am soaked, not just wet, but soaked. I look back and all three of my boys look like drowned bunnies. J#1 said, "mom that was crazy". Yes it was, but of course the rain let up about half way home. We could have waited just a little bit longer for it, see what impatience gets you. We are all changed, dry and fed. Now I think I'll take a nap :)

I've had an experience or two like that! Yuck. Why can't everything be a drive thru?
hey, at least you have a story the boys will be telling their friends for weeks to come! :)
And a nap after a rain soaked day is the BEST!!
