Thought I would feature the J-Boys one at a time and give you a little more insight to who they are. J#1 is my oldest and he is a risk-taker. He will jump without looking. He doesn't think of what might happen either. He is doing second grade level curriculum in homeschool and picks things up very fast. He is a lot like me in that he wants organization and wants to know what comes next and how our day is going to go. He does everything fast including eating (which we need to work on). Being the oldest he has to be the protector and the most responsible one. He rises to the challenge. I remember there was one occasion when my mom was watching J#1 and J #2 they were about 4 and 2 years old at the time. Mechanic man and I went out for our anniversary and apparently the grid that covers our septic tank was missing its screw and J#1 decided to open it when Mimi went in to get something to drink. She said that all of the sudden she heard J#1 screaming for Mimi and she came running out and J#2 was all the way in the hole except J#1 had his ankles keeping him from falling into the septic tank hole. Mimi grabbed him and all was O.K. That is not the only time he has taken care of his brothers, he likes to fight with them, but deep down he wants to protect and keep them from harm. This is how our conversation went:
Me, "O.K., J#1 I am going to ask you some questions about yourself, O.K.?"
J #1, "What is J#1, a code or something?"
Me, "Yes, something like that, are you ready?"
Me, "What is your favorite thing to do?"
J#1 "Play dinosaurs and play with my cars."
Me, "What is your favorite color?"
J#1, "Blue and green and greenish-blue"
Me, "All of those is your favorite?"
J#1, "Yeah'"
Me, "What is your favorite game to play?"
J#1, "Uhhhh, that is hard. Oh, Trouble."
Me, "Is that because you are always in trouble."
J#1, "NO, the game with pegs!!"
Me, "Who do you look the most like?"
J#, "Uncle T****"
Me, "How do you know that?"
J#1, "Cause you said that a long time ago, you said that he was your brother."
Me, "What is your favorite thing to do in school?"
J#1, "Break time."
Me, "That is not what I am talking about, what is your favorite subject?"
J#1, "Fine, it is reading."
Me, "What is your favorite movie?"
J#1, "That is easy, The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog."
Me, "What is your favorite book?"
J#1, "Pirates."
Me, "What is your favorite cartoon?"
J#1, "That is easy, Rough Roughman and Hacker Space, Curious George and Ninja Turtles."
Me, "Boxers or briefs?"
J#1, "What?"
Me, "Never mind."
Me, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
J #1, "A Ninja."
Me, "What is your favorite song?"
J#1, "I Love Rock N' Roll."
Me, "What is your favorite restaurant?"
J#1, "Panda Express, Taco Bell and McDonalds. Oh and Garden Bridge."
Me, "Garden Bridge is not a restaurant, do you mean Olive Garden?"
J#1, "Yes."
Me, "Anything you want to ask me?"
J#1, "Yeah, stop spankin' me"
Me, "Well, you should listen and obey."
Me, "Last question, what is your favorite thing to eat?"
J#1, "A banana split at Bruun something, you know that ice cream place."
Me, "You mean Braums."
J#1, "Yeah, you zipped it out of my mind."
Me, "O.K., then thank you for answers, I love you"
J#1, "I am outa here."
Me, "Hello, what about the love?"
No Answer.
Me, "That is called being disrespectful."
J#1, "Sorry, I love you."
And oh, how I feel the love :)
