Well, J#2 is my cautious one. He will watch and observe before jumping in. He really likes to help with everything like cooking and taking care of baby brother. Even though he is the cautious one it is still an adventure with him, maybe even more so than J#1. He has swallowed a penny and we had to go to the doctor to take an x-ray and he has sprayed OFF in his eye when we were at the grocery store. I did say he was my cautious one, those examples don't sound like it, do they. He loves to help daddy out in the garage and to help Papa on the farm. I do preschool work with him and he has learned to write and identify A-S. He picks things up fast like his brother. But you can't light a fire under him to make him go any faster than he wants to, he has his own pace.
Here is how our conversation went:
Me, "I am going to ask you some questions about yourself, O.K.?"
J#2, "O.K."
Me, "What is your favorite thing to do?"
J#2, "Eat candy."
Me, "What is your favorite food?"
J#2, "Uh, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches."
Me, "What is your favorite toy?"
J#2, "Uh, (laughs) it is kind of funny, a jack-in-the-box."
Me, " What is your favorite color?"
J#2, "There are two colors black and red and orange."
Me, " What is your favorite restaurant?"
J#2, "CiCi's Pizza"
Me, "What is your favorite thing to do in school?"
J#2, "Play with my blocks."
Me, "What is your favorite book?
J#2, "Oh, that is easy Barney."
Me, "What do you love most about momma?"
J#2, (Long Pause) It is two things, she is beautiful and I love her and she is very sweet."
(Stop for showering with hugs and kisses for that answer!)
Me, "What do want to be when you grow up?"
J#1 interrupts, "He wants to be a ballet instructor"
Me, "No, this is my conversation with your brother."
J#2, "Uh, a farmer like Papa."
Me, "What is your favorite movie?"
J#2, "Sonic the Hedgehog"
Me, "What is your favorite cartoon?"
J#2 "Calliou."
Me, "Is there anything you want to ask mommy?"
J#2, "Yeah, I totally love her."
Me, "Ahh, thank you."
I am still feeling the love :)
