Today before lunch I was talking to the boys about the dollars that they have stashed in there room. I knew that they had $4, but when they pulled it out there was $7 so I asked where the other 3 came from and neither of them said they knew. Then J#2 said it came from J#1's piggy bank which J#1 denied because he knows I don't want him getting money out of his piggy bank. So I talked to them about lying and stealing and told them to think about it for awhile. A little side note we found $45 dollars one day in there room cleaning up which they got out of Mechanic Man's wallet. So I proceeded with lunch and told J#2 to pray before we ate. Here is how it started out:
J#2: God, help J#1 to know he got that $3 out of his piggy bank, and let momma know he did...
I did not stop him, but I had to look up at J#1 and give him "THE LOOK" so he would know not to say anything during prayer. J#2 then proceeded to have some very beautiful words about helping them not to lie and so forth so he got done and quickly J#1 said that he had a prayer also. So I reluctantly let him. This is how his started out:
J#1: God, help J#2 to stop lying because I did not get that $3 out of my piggy bank, Amen.
I had a long talk during lunch about what prayer is for and what it is about and it is not about talking to one another through prayer. So they still do not seem to know where the extra money came from as of yet. I will give them more time and see if the answer will appear.
