Surprise! Surprise! (in the Gomer Pyle Voice)

Yes, I got a surprise today that I was not expecting. My brother called me on his way back to Iraq after his short leave home in Virginia, to tell me that his wife is pregnant! She of course has been pregnant awhile since the last time he was in on a leave was Sept.-Oct. So he has known for awhile and didn't tell me, (the little stinker) he said that they have waited before telling too many people. I asked how far along she was and he said about 17 weeks, then I said well she should be getting close to being able to find out what you are having and he said well, that was one of the things we did while I was at home. I was like What!!! you are just now telling me she is pregnant and what she is having. So he told me to guess and I said that it was a girl. He said, Yes. My heart fluttered for a moment thinking about my mom and how much she wanted a grandbaby girl. If you were around my mom or anywhere in the vicinity of my mom you knew how much she wanted me to have a baby girl. Well, I would say that I could pass down something, but only blue in this household. I am so happy for both of them and the new Pink bundle of joy that is going to be joining the family!!!! Congratulations to Bubba and wife!!!! Love you, my little niece! Oh, how I love the sound of that!
