I am going to post two today since I am behind. Yesterday, we went on a field trip to the dairy museum in Sulphur Springs. It was a fun little trip, we learned a lot of interesting stuff about the dairy industry and how it has changed. How things are made from milk and so on. The only thing was the men that they had doing the presentations had about as much a personality as the cow statues in front of the museum. They all grew up milking cows and/or had dairy farms so they were really knowledgeable, but they seemed very dry. I wondered if they had done some dairy farm crime and had to pay restitution volunteering at the dairy museum. But all in all it was very interesting and you got a ice cream cone at the end of the tour so it was all worth it!!!
On the way home we ran into a horrible storm, so we prayed all the way through that and made it safely home. I just have to brag on J#1 for a minute, during the ride home he asked me a question:
J#1, "How many days are left in this month?"
Me, Not remembering what day it was took a guess, "I think 20 days."
J#1, "How many weeks is that?"
Me, "Over two."
J#1 took a pause, then said, "Actually it is two weeks and 6 days".
I was shocked that he came up with it, he really likes math. I asked him to explain his answer to make sure it was not a fluke and he told me exactly how he did it. All in his head, too! I was so proud.
