The Big Countdown....

We are counting down until we leave for Florida on Friday. I am praying none of these "storms" out there in the ocean turn nasty and head for Florida while we are there. That wouldn't make for a good vacation. I am trying so hard to get the house back to some organization so that I can get the clothes and stuff packed up, but apparently the J-Boys didn't get that memo this morning and they were whiney all day. Everyone of them!!! This weekend Mechanic Man built some shelves in a cabinet that we had for the boys room to help store some plastic bins and keep things more organized in there. We spent all morning and much of the afternoon organizing there room and putting things in bins and tossing things out. If I have told them once I have told them a thousand times when you take something out put it back up before taking out something else. It doesn't register and compiled with the "hurry and throw things wherever you possible can to get them off the floor so mom will think the room is clean syndrome" then you can imagine the mess we had.

Say it with me, "I will put my toys away in the proper place when I clean my room". J#1 said that his room feels better now that the toys are up and it is not cluttered. He said look mom at all the room we have to play in on the floor. I said yes son and repeat after me, "if I put my toys away where they go when I clean my room it can stay like this". That was a job and believe me I had a ton of other things on my list to do then to organize their room, but it needed to be done. I think J#3 might have gotten lost and we would have never found him in there. So other than a couple of loads of laundry and feeding everybody three meals that is all that got accomplished today. Tomorrow my list is growing. Everyone is so excited and I would like to skip having to travel there part and get straight to Orlando. My only concern really is J#3 I have a few ideas occupying him, but I think there will have to be several stops.

Oh, one more thing I wanted to add the other morning just as everyone was still sleepy and zoning on the couch J#1 turns to me and says, "mom, life is like a rope." I said, "really how so?" "Well, there is a beginning and an end, but if you know Jesus then the two ends come together to make a circle and your life becomes eternal with no end". I was a little astonished. I asked him where he heard that from and he said he just thought it in his mind. Pretty deep for 6:30 am in the morning, I was impressed.
