Blockbuster, Wassup?

Sorry, I'm having to vent here, but when did customer service go out the window? I mean companies now seem to be only out for themselves and forget the person actually providing the money for them to stay in business. My case in point...we belong to the blockbuster online where you can choose a movie the mail it to your house yada yada. So anyways, we have been with them a for a couple of years now and they have changed the rules, like a bazillion times. When we first started with them it was one way then they changed it to less benefits for us, but it cost more. What?!?! How does that work? Anyways, long story short we stayed with them and took what they offered. Well, yesterday we exchanged a movie in-store and now they are telling us that we won't get another movie in the mail until we return the movie we rented to the store. Normally, it got in the system automatically in you recieved your next one in the mail right away. Mechanic Man was the one who went in so this is second hand information, but it seems like to me if that is the case and they want to treat the movie I rented like a mailer then I get to keep it as long as I want, but I doubt that happens because as you may or may not know you get a late fee now from Blockbuster if you don't turn it in by the due date. You know they spent a lot of money on the advertising for the "No Late Fees" campaign only to change that this year. So, I say Blockbuster I don't watch movies that much anyways and your getting on my nerves. Can I get an AMEN! Thank you that is all.

It's sad isn't it? It seems like most companies would be doing there best at customer service with things the way they are. It used to be the norm.

The in store rentals now do count like a mail in! You can keep them as long as you want with no late fee.
I liked the way they did it when you could take your envelopes in and get three from the store. Sometimes we'd have 3 from the store and then 2 days later, have 3 from the mail. So, sometimes we had 6 movies. Actually this way was too good to be true but it was nice while it lasted. I think they changed it due to people keeping them out way too long. The positive side is, you get them in the mail then instead of having to wait for the one to come in the mail, you can go get one. Still not better than their best deal.
